Another Independent Business Closes!

I had some bad news this week - Nerdy Shrewsbury is closing down and will cease trading on 18th May. Unfortunately spiralling costs have made keeping this fantastic gaming cafe open untenable. So this weekend I’m going to collect my remaining stock and wish Chris and Katie, the lovely managers, a fond farewell. For the five months that they stocked my little retro earrings and pin badges I was very happy to finally have a dedicated outlet for the geekier end of my jewellery range, so I’ll really miss them. Once again the adage “use it or lose” applies - if we don’t use our quirky independent shops they will disappear from our high streets, only to be replaced with yet more Starbucks and charity shops. So shop local and shop indie!
